The best part of waking up is…. folgers in your cup.. wait, no it isnt’. It’s Jesus!

When the new day comes, the warm sun kissing you on your face to wake you up, what is it that your mind thinks about to get out of bed?

What is it that wakes you up in the morning?

I know for me, there are many times that knowing I am going to crawl out of bed, put on my robe, and go get a warm cup of coffee can get me rolling out of bed.

But, for those of us who “wake up” by drinking a cup of coffee, what if we work up to the Word of God, prayer, or a simple “Hello God, Good morning! I’m up, what are we going to do today?” Then as we go to grab ou coffee and sit down we are simply enjoying it as an added part to our morning!

We know that God never sleeps nor slumbers, so when we wake up He is there with us. But, so does satan. He doesn’t give up so easily. Satan will take every opportunity to overwhelm us with negativity, pride, unhappiness, jealousy, impatience, or a reminder of what took place the day before. The list goes on.

But

God! He is ready to claim victory!

It is up to us to fill our thoughts with the will and the Word of God. And through this, God will empower us to gain victory in our minds.

A made up mind is powerful. I encourage you to have it made up on Gods word being the final answer!

Division has risen, Satan is showing his ugly head all around this world. What do you stand for? What are you against? What can you tolerate? What seems to be the last straw before you “voice your opinion”? What do you support? What do you oppose? 

With these questions, come accusations of what you must be about! If your that, then this! All lies. That’s not how it works.

But Satan will sure try to deceive you into thinking it is.

News flash: Satan is the accuser of the brethren and the father of all lies.

God has called us to side with HIM! Stand for truth, what is right. Not our own opinion, not mans opinion; but God’s opinion. 

We have millions today out for their own agenda who have been given their minds over for years to the enemy who has been playing games & controlling the very thoughts of people who eventually because they have sided with a different voice – the voice of reason or the voice of lies – they cannot hear or even see the actual truth. They have hard hearts. Due to sin. Due to unbelief. Filled with hurts, pains, and a hopelessness in an area of their life they believe is just the way it is and there’s no way to feel different. For example: children who had to grow up fatherless or motherless- kids picked on at school their whole life because of how they looked, what they liked or didn’t like; etc – children being abused physically, mentally, verbally – a loss of a loved one they couldn’t get over – mental abuse hearing they’re a failure and will never amount to anything, their stupid, dumb, ugly, or worthless – they barely had anything growing up so they ended up learning to steal & rob people to get what they wanted or needed and now it’s just a part of them – hate filling hearts ….. confusion setting in on who they really are ….. the need to find a place to be accepted ….. 

All because of sin. Darkness. 

JESUS SAVES! Bible says he picks us up out of the miry clay. “He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭40:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There IS a way to be redeemed from your childhood, or even any situation you have faced in this life. There is hope! There is light at the end of this dark tunnel of confusion, despair, depression, hate, rage, justice being served, and hurt!

God can restore you, heal you, put you back together, remove the hurts, pains, and lies and give you a life worth living! One you actually enjoy and a chance to get to know the real you! Give Him a chance. He’s done it in me, and continues to help me daily; and He is not a respect or of persons, which means, He will do the same for you, if you let Him. 

𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙩, 𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙚𝙡

Have you ever been inspired to come up with a word for yourself for the new year! I do, and I can say it helps me refocus sometimes and get back on track as the days and years go by because I feel as if I have a “reset” button.

My word(s) are Purpose & Fulfillment / Unapologetic.

I normally have one word, but this year, It seems I have 3! Lol. (See, there is no right or wrong way about doing this!) I believe this year will be a year that everything I do will have purpose behind it and with that purpose brings fulfillment! I believe I will be seeing things that I have been longing to see come to pass this year- fulfillment! And while I thought that was all, after a women’s conference I ministered at, I realized I had one more to tag onto this year; as I do what I do as unto the Lord, and be who God has created me to be, as I shine for my Father and continue to see fulfillment with purpose; I shall be Unapologetic about it! I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, my Father, the Holy Spirit who lives in me, or the life I live. ❤️👏😎

What’s your word?!

Find your word. And then get it put in front of you.
Get a small poster board and bring it to life! You can just do words, you can draw things, find magazine clippings of pictures, words, or phrases, anything that you feel is speaking to you that would help you reset & refocus so you can have a powerful year! Take some time to journal it, find scripture to stand on that go along with what you’re wanting to see come to pass and declare them over yourself.

Ever drive down the road and see a cop? 

What are immediate things you think and do?

Now let’s go a step further. You pass by the cop and now the cop car begins to pull behind you. Uh oh…. what are your thoughts and actions now? I can tell you what they are…. you are dotting your i’s and crossing your t’s!

And all of a sudden, the cop flicks his lights on … and quickly passes you up to dart somewhere else! Whew, close one huh!

What made you so nervous? Authority! The cop had authority over you and at anytime could have used it’s authority to trump anything you were doing, even if you were not up to no good, the cop could use his authority to stop you and check it out!

Where’s your authority over the enemy? You have it! You have the authority to stop him dead in his tracks, take whatever it was he tried to steal from you, and send him away to “jail”! Lock him away even if you think he’s suspicious!! So, why don’t we? Why don’t we use our authority Christ Jesus gave us to make the enemy nervous? He should be! He’s messing with royalty! Set in your position! Get the word of God over your situation, fire it out of your mouth toward the enemy of your soul, even if you think he’s up to no good. Stop him dead in his tracks and let him know he’s in violation and you’re here to see to it he’s punished! You are on the scene to put a stop to whatever he is trying to conjure up. You have been given authority, same authority Jesus had while He was walking in this world as a man, it has been given to you. Demons must flee, darkness must tremble as the light shines through, the enemy must take his hands off whatever he is trying to put them on. You have the power in Jesus Name to break and destroy every plan, every assignment of the enemy! 

Use your authority, flip your lights on and make the enemy nervous!!

There’s something that comes with a new year…. a fresh new perspective!

You have hope that you can start over and make better choices and end up better off than you were the year before. I believe that when people look at the new year it is a breath of fresh air where they truly believe that they can start anything. It’s a clean slate. A do-over. A new beginning.

And when I think about a brand new start with Jesus Christ and the new life, it correlates with the feelings of what January 1 brings.

In the Bible it says that when we receive Jesus Christ we become a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old things pass away, they go away, they disappear. And all things become new. The old things are everything we have done in our lives up to that point of saying “yes” to Jesus. You know those choices you made that weren’t so good? The shame and guilt you have felt because of it? Can you believe that God, by His Spirit, can take it all away? Can you dare to believe it? Sounds too good to be true, but it is. That’s what Jesus does! He takes all the weight, pressure, guilt, and shame from us and places it on Jesus. Then, he gives us a fresh look on life and even His Spirit to walk fresh in Him.

When this takes place we are truly able to walk and enter in to a brand new life. One where we believe we can start over and start fresh and now we have someone who can help us.

Receiving Jesus Christ is the greatest thing that anyone can ever do in their life.

And until you experience it,
you can’t quite get it.

But I believe that this year is going to mark a great awakening and an unfolding of the mysteries of God to his people. It is his good pleasure to give us the kingdom of God. All that he is and all that he has created is for us to take pleasure in.

As I reflect on this year, I believe that it truly is going to be a year where the scripture unfolds that he can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think or we can require of him. I believe things are going to transpire that we did not even have a clue to ask for but he has already pre-destined it from the beginning of the earth. And the kingdom of God is going to advance!

My question is are you where you need to be?

If the answer is yes, then go after it was all that you have and realize that there is not one person that can hold you back from fulfilling what has been placed inside of you.

If the answer is no, then I would like to encourage you to find someone to help you understand what God‘s kingdom is all about, receive Gods perfect love for you, receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then find a church home, get plugged in and experience a life like you’ve only dreamed.

A life with God is the best life that could ever be lived. It is a life where if you have much , you’re happy, your filled and satisfied and if you have little you’re happy, your filled and satisfied because there is nothing in this world that you will ever achieve or have in your possession that matters. You realize, God is your success. It is what you have inside of you that you carry with you everywhere you go! And the best part is He will NEVER leave you or forsake you, He will be with you, even to the ends of the earth!

Happy New Year. Now what do you want it to look like? Seek God first, and you can have it.
