Fear You Don’t Own Me!

This is lengthy, warning! But, it will help you I believe. Pulled it from a book I’m writing (slowly lol). I didn’t want to cut any of it bc there is someone who is going to read it all….. and that is worth the writing of it, even for one!😘👍❤🙏🙌🏼

Stop allowing fear to drive you.

You don’t have to push people or have a fear that people are not going to “catch” the things of God. You don’t have to worry or fear that if you “don’t do this” then they could possibly “do this” or “get this” or “become that”. When things seem to be a struggle; you see physically a slow slipping away of good things- you don’t have to start grabbing them, freaking out in fear that if you don’t do something to stop it, it could be the last!

What happened when you were in that state? Did you drift off and never come back to the Lord? Did you listen when others spoke to you? Well, I’m sure you did at some point, but it was when you were ready to listen. Does it mean you should not talk to them? No! Show Christ? Absolutely, you should! Stop giving them encouragement? Nope! Mark them as a lost cause, I sure would hope not! 

That’s where perfect love comes in. That’s where the peace of God that surpasses all your understanding to guard your heart, soul, and mind by Christ Jesus comes to play. The most powerful thing you can learn to do is PRAY. Declare. Know the Word of God and make it known to the enemy that you know how to fight this spiritual warfare, that you know the promises of God and that with God, you cannot be stopped nor can His promises for you and your family when the Word of God is spoken, believed, and stood on! 

I think of a scripture 

“And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?””

‭‭Acts‬ ‭19:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I grabbed ahold of this scripture the first time I heard it and read it. I remember saying to myself, “oh, the enemy is going to know who I am, and He’s going to know I know who I am and the power I am coming with!”

With this, there is no more room for fear to operate. We have ALL of heaven backing us up. When we open our mouth and even just say the name of Jesus, God and His Holy Spirit step on the scene and begin working on our behalf! Imagine if you had some scripture of what Gods word says about the situation! The enemy wants to stop that flow by getting our minds thinking on all the what if’s and the could be’s, but we can squash that with Gods PERFECT work- His love that came down in the form of a man, lived a blameless life, walked with the Father, heard His voice, was guided in His life, died on the cross taking ALL of our guilt, shame, sin, regrets, and imperfections-  nailing them in place once and for all…. going down to hell, snatching the keys of life!!!!! And power!!!!!! And then ascending to heaven to hand them to our Father, brought back once more for us to begin tapping into what He has fulfilled in prophecy, and what we are to carry out until He comes back again! The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead DWELLS, LIVES, RESTS ON THE INSIDE OF US! 

The power to move mountains!

The power to calm a raging sea!

The power to speak His name!

The power to heal the sick!

The power to raise the dead!

The power to speak words into life,

  Causing the Word to begin producing!

This power sits in your mouth, in your belly,

And is always ready to be launched into motion!

The ONLY ONE that can stop this, is you.

Fear will cause you to keep your mouth closed. Say you can’t. Say it works for everyone else but me. Well let’s address that lie:

“Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:34‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

He wants to set us ALL free! Redeem us all! Give US the kingdom and ALL that is in it. He wants US to walk on this earth with the same power & authority as JESUS did. 

Jesus went to the poor, the sick, the hungry & hurting. I didn’t find it where he stayed “comfortable”. It’s time to kick fear out once and for all. What is there to be afraid of when God is for you? God is on your side? The creator of heaven & earth, the creator of you & all you are in and around? 

Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Genesis 28:15

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

God loves you. He is for you not against you. He cares about you, your family, and what goes on in YOUR day (as ultimately it is His day He has created just for you to live in). Get intimate with Him- meaning find Him behind closed doors! Open up your heart and let Him remove the heart of stone, and all that is ugly, filthy, and things that He never put in there when He created you…. and FIND LIFE! Then, live it to the glory of the Lord God, being about your Fathers Business until the day of the Lord! You will find more joy, peace, fulfillment, and purpose than you have ever known before, trust me!

Face your fears 

It’s time to evaluate all the things that bring fear into our lives. I always say “Im not afraid of anything”. And while this is a faith statement, and sounds good, it’s not real. 

I deal with a variety of fears that try to grip me. I wouldn’t say on a daily basis but pretty often. And when I feel that feeling in my stomach, I have to arrest it. 

Fear of guns 

Fear of failure 

Fear over my kids lives 

Fear about surgeries 

Fear of the gossip others spread about me or my family 

Fear of my husbands past 

Fear of friendships 

Fear of things happening to my family I cannot control 

Fear of the future 

Job 3:23- Job says the thing he has feared the most has come upon him. There is a lot to learn from Job.

Fear is such a strong force. But, so is faith. They are opposites. Kind of like, either cold or hot. You can only pick going up or down. Left or right. Front or back. Fear or faith. You can’t have both operating at the same time. If you were being honest with yourself, are you living by faith… or fear?

For we walk by faith not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

Hebrews 11:6 says faith pleases God and without faith it is impossible to please Him. The Lord’s eyes keep on roaming throughout the earth, looking for those whose hearts completely belong to him, so that he may strongly support them (2 Chronicles 16:9). 

The thing about this is, not always do we choose faith. Not always do we please God or give Him access into our lives or situations. Fear hits us and we crawl into a foxhole to hide or begin to prepare which takes our eyes off God putting things in our own hands. Surely we can fix this. If not, we’re sure going to try!

Satan uses fear-tactics on people. He did it with Jonah, He did it with Daniel, He did it with David (just to name a few), and he does it on me and you. 

Fear is a spiritual force that motivates and moves hell and the devil.

Everything hell does is fear. His only weapon is fear.

Faith is a spiritual force that motivates and moves God in heaven. 

When David looked at Goliath, he didn’t call him a giant. He only called him an uncircumcised philistine. This meant a man who had no covenant with God. He knew he won already because faith said “I, David, belong to the Lord and He is with me. I cannot lose. He gives me power to overcome anything I’m up against.” 

David took Gods word (in which he believed) and spoke it out. He was the one who won that impossible battle that day! Why? Because Faith overrode Fear! And with that weapon, the devil was defeated.

You can’t stop the devil from saying things to you, it’s just a constant curser. But, there needs to be a point where YOU speak back to the devil! He may try to talk, but your words have much more power over any of his. 

“I’m redeemed from the curse of the Law.”

“I’m forgiven and those things are in the past. God has forgiven me of those wrong choices and I have a new life in Him!”

“I’m not going under, I’m going over!”

“I am not sick, I am healed by the stripes of Jesus!”

“I am not lacking any good thing! Jesus has given me life, and an abundance of all I will ever need.”

It’s time to look at whatever the enemy tries to grip you with and SPEAK BACK! What does God say about this fear? That’s what you grab ahold of and keep those stones in your pocket. 

You ever find yourself staring back at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself “Am I enough?” “Will I ever amount to anything?” “Can I really see change in my life?” I want to see you find victory today!

Competing in life doesn’t have to be a bad thing, it’s just a matter of “who” you are competing with. Looking around at other people and what they have & how they live their life has nothing to do with You! God has given each one of us a specific unique life. For us to be caught up in someone else’s life puts us in a position to reject what God has for us to have! He has designed us for a great purpose. Each one of us.

Jeremiah 29:11-12 (amp) “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you.”

God has created us for a purpose. It’s time to stop competing with others. Competition and jealousy work hand in hand. It’s hard at times to not get caught up in comparing yourself; your successes, your children, your gifts and talents, your acts of giving, your life to someone else’s. But, this is so dangerous and can suck the life out of you. It is designed to suck your purpose, your identity, your authenticity, your personality, your joy, your peace, your hope… leaving you feeling like YOU are not enough.

Competition is not a bad thing in itself. A good dose of challenge can strengthen you and give you some motivation to be better than you are today. But that competition should be aimed at the “you” of yesterday.

I want to ask you to examine yourself. Compete with who you were yesterday. Ask yourself, are you a better you than you were a month ago? 6 months ago? A year ago? What about yesterday?

If you are not happy with your results, pray to the Lord to help you get to where you want to be. Where HE has made you to be, and who He has made you to be. Get your focus OFF other people and get them on YOU.

Who are you? Who do you want to be? What has God given you in life (your gifts/talents)? What are you doing with them? Do they need strengthened, sharpened? Are you making effort to seeing that happen? What is your passion? What do you like? What seems to occupy your mind? What drives you? What do you seem to perk up to talk about when it comes up? How do you like to dress/ what is YOUR style? What do you see yourself doing?

…. Be a better YOU and go after these things! Dare to believe that God created YOU to shine for Him. Some may shine with many talents, some may shine with 3, and some may have 1 that they glow and make known throughout the world. Find YOU and go after being better today than you were yesterday. Set goals for yourself. Find a mentor. Surround yourself with people that will help you get there. And set your face like a flint to seek God. Together, you and Him will see the plan come to completion in this beautiful gift of life you’ve been given. He is faithful to accomplish what He started in you (Philippians 1:6).

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.” 1 Corinthians 9:24

This is your race. Run it well. Nobody can receive the prize that is set up for you at the finish line. Run with God and all the changes that need to be made, will be made through His Spirit. Be a better you!

Stinkin’ Thinking 💭

Garbage in. Garbage out. Let’s really take a

moment and focus on our t̵͇̯̼͙̦̒̔̆h̶̼̦̺̯̱̥͍̉o̵̘̬͛̅̈́̄̿̈́̏͗̔u̵̩̓̈͂͂ͅḡ̵̖̣̥̞̣̝͚́̋ͅḧ̸̹̼̞́t̶̞̘͓̱̓̌̄̑͒͘ș̷͓͑̎͊̄̓̉͜͝.

See that?
There are always things that zoom into our minds. We have to LEARN how to 🅲🅰🅿🆃🆄🆁🅴 these thoughts and ask ourselves “Is this going to produce good things or bad things?” And be real. Sometimes we want to keep these thoughts 💭 because we’re use to them. They make us feel good, or comfortable because it’s what we think is going on anyways. Everyone likes a good dose of evidence that proves their case. This can be dangerous…. we don’t need to collect evidence to build our case. Jesus is the one who has taken every pain, every hurt, every wrong and made it right – through His sacrifices for us.

So, when you hear about something and then you have that moment that floods in a “thought”, grab that thought 💭 and ask yourself if this thought produces love or hate, good feelings or makes you feel sick, makes you want to smile or crawl up in a ball, makes you want to pull the curtains back and let the sun shine on you or does it make you want to hurt someone, push someone away, and pull the covers back over your head, feeling …. defeated.

Think I’m being extreme? I’m not. The mind is your biggest battlefield.

Capture the wrong thoughts, kick them out, and replace them with truth and good thoughts instead- it will truly bring change to your perception of it and people, and even yourself. You will see hope where you couldn’t see it before. And you will see victory – finally- where you have seen nothing but trapment and defeat.

If you keep doing the same old things, you will get the same old results.
If you keep thinking the same lies, you will get the same lies.
If you keep thinking 💭 on all the wrong things, you will continue to get the wrong things.

Do something different!

New comes with the Word: RENEW YOUR MIND,
Get Gods thoughts and the way to do that is read His Word. Then, you will begin to have the mind of Christ, think like Him talk like Him, and Be like Him!

Old comes and stays with not doing anything about it!
It’s wrong thoughts, so stop letting them trespass and steal your joy, peace, and goodness God has for you!

“As we think, we change the physical nature of our brain. As we consciously direct our thinking, we can wire out toxic patterns of thinking and replace them with healthy thoughts.”

Changing the way you think changes your perspective which changes how you act in the world. Paul’s words aren’t new. “Change your mind” is the central theme of Jesus’ first sermon (Matt. 4:17).
